Olympic Water Polo Player’s Inspiring Journey to Paris

The dominant US women’s water polo team is going for their fourth straight gold medal – and attacker, Maddie Musselman, has been a critical part of that team’s success. However, last fall, Maddie’s life took a turn when her fiancé, Pat, was diagnosed with cancer. Unsure at first if she wanted to continue playing, Maddie chose to support him through treatments, while continuing to train with the team. Her teammates and coaches have been inspired by the couple’s grace through the tough situation. Maddie and Pat have both been fueled by dreams of going to Paris. Now, they’re here.
