Study shows girls are experiencing menstrual cycles at younger ages

According to a report published in JAMA, the American Medical Association’s medical journal, a growing number of girls are now experiencing their first period before the average age of 12. The research showed that black girls are more than twice as likely as white girls to start their puberty early.
