Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkia, the daughter of the Sultan of Brunei, got married to Awang Abdullah Nabil Mahmoud Al-Hashimi in a lavish week-long wedding recently. One of the largest palaces in the world and also the official residence of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Istana Nurul Iman was the wedding venue.

Princess Fadzilah, popularly known as the ‘Sporty princess’, is the elder sister of Prince Mateen, who has a massive following on social media. Her wedding was announced last year in December and showcased an extravagant display of grandeur and opulent wedding fashion. The bride put forth several head-turning looks which were paired with extraordinary jewels.
Prince Mateen took to Instagram and shared several glimpses of the royal affair that the wedding was. “Congratulations to the newlyweds. I’m so happy for both of you. Big love to my beautiful sister,” he wrote in the post.
In the photos, Princess Fadzilah is seen wearing a long ivory dress with a veil. She teamed her special outfit with an exquisite diamond tiara. The groom complemented her in a matching ivory ensemble, paired with magnificent gold jewellery.

In another ceremony called Berbedak, Princess Fadzilah wore a regal red dress with elaborate gold headgear.
Princess Fadzilah is the ninth of the 12 children of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. She is the daughter of Hajah Mariam, his second wife. They got divorced in 2003.
