U.S. economy shows more robust growth as recession fears ease

The Commerce Department reported that the economy continued to grow at a healthy pace at the end of 2023, exceeding economists’ expectations. The gross domestic product grew at an annual rate of 3.3 percent in the third quarter. For all of 2023, growth was a healthy 2.5 percent.
