Roseland Portrait Project celebrates people from Chicago south side neighborhood
Long known for shootings and violence, Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood is now reframing its own narrative. A local artist painted 397 faces of community members including nurses, police officers, musicians and a 16-year-old killed by gun violence.
