দৈনিকসিলেট ডটকম :: সিলেট সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মেয়র আরিফুল হক চৌধুরী বলেছেন, সিলেটের কুমারগাঁও উন্নয়নের সকলকে সহযোগিতা করতে হবে। তাই অত্র এলাকার যুব সমাজকেই সর্বপ্রথম এগিয়ে আসতে হবে। অত্র এলাকায় মসজিদ, শাহী ঈদগাহ, স্কুল, ড্রেন ও পানির সমস্যা সমাধানে কাজ করবেন বলে আশ্বাস প্রদান করেন। সকলের সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টায় অত্র এলাকার সব ধরনের উন্নয়ন সম্ভব।
তিনি শুক্রবার (২১ জানুয়ারি) সন্ধ্যা ৭টায় কুমারগাঁও খেলার মাঠে কুমারগাঁও উন্নয়ন যুব সংঘের প্রথম পরিচিতি সভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে উপরোক্ত কথাগুলো বলেন। অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতে পবিত্র কোরআন থেকে তেলাওয়াত করেন সংগঠনের ধর্ম সম্পাদক হাফিজ মোহাম্মদ জাকারিয়া।
কুমারগাঁও উন্নয়ন যুব সংঘের সভাপতি ওলিউর রহমান আলীর সভাপতিত্বে ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক দুলাল আহমদের পরিচালনায় অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান বক্তার বক্তব্য রাখেন, বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামীলীগ কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যনির্বাহী কমিটির সাবেক সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক এডভোকেট মিসবাহ উদ্দিন সিরাজ, বিশেষ অতিথির বক্তব্য রাখেন, সিলেট প্রেসক্লাবের সাবেক সাধারণ সম্পাদক ইকবাল মাহমুদ, অনলাইন প্রেসক্লাবের সাধারণ সম্পাদক মকসুদ আহমদ মকসুদ, সিলেট জেলা ছাত্রদলের সভাপতি আলতাফ হোসেন সুমন, গিয়াস মেম্বার।
