Supreme Court hears arguments over $6 billion opioid deal involving Sackler family
The Supreme Court heard arguments over a bankruptcy court deal involving the Sackler family, who are known for their role in creating Purdue Pharma’s powerful painkiller Oxycontin. The family has agreed to pay $6 billion to plaintiffs, in exchange for future liability from lawsuits.
