RANGPUR, Nov 11, 2021 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested a

presumed drug trader with contraband yaba tablets from village Fota under
Mahiganj police station in Rangpur metropolis on Wednesday evening.

“On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13 conducted a raid there and
arrested the man red-handed with 190 pieces of Yaba tablets,” said a press
release issued here today by Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-13 Flight
Lieutenant Mahmud Bashir Ahmed.

The detainee was identified as Md Babul Hossain, 38, of Rangpur
district.

During primary interrogation, the arrested person admitted that he had
been involved in drug trading for a long time.

“After filing a case in this connection against the arrested person, the
elite force handed him over to Mahiganj police station of Rangpur
Metropolitan Police,” the release added.
