Heart doctor leaves Louisiana over state’s anti-LGBTQ laws

Dr. Jake Kleinmahon, the director of the "only” pediatric heart transplant center in Louisiana, says he’s moving from New Orleans to New York after legislators passed anti-LBGTQ+ bills. Kleinmahon said his decision to leave has been “distressing” since it may leave “a hole for medical care” in the state.
