লতিফুর রহমানের মৃত্যুতে গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করেছেন সাবেক সাংসদ মুসফিকুর রহমান। তিনি বলেছেন, দেশের অর্থনীতিতে মরহুমের অবদান চিরস্মরণীয় হয়ে থাকবে। তাঁর মৃত্যু দেশ ও জাতির জন্য এক অপূরণীয় ক্ষতি। বেসরকারি খাতে কর্মসংস্থঅন সৃষ্টিতে তিনি অসামান্য অবদান রেখে গেছেন।

আঞ্জুমান মুফিদুল ইসলামানের পক্ষ থেকে গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করেছেন সংস্থাটির সভাপতি মুফলেহ আর ওসমানী। শোকবর্তায় তিনি বলেছেন, দানশীল লতিফুর রহমান আঞ্জুমানের পৃষ্ঠপোষকদের একজন ছিলেন। তাঁর সাহায্যের মাধ্যমে আঞ্জুমান এতিম ও অতিদরিদ্রদের সেবা করতে সক্ষম হয়েছে। লতিফুর রহমানের আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করে এতিম শিশুরা বিশেষ প্রার্থনা করবে বলেও জানিয়েছেন তিনি।
শোক প্রকাশ করে বার্তা পাঠিয়েছে ঢাকা সংবাদপত্র হকার্স বহুমুখী সমবায় সমিতি লিমিটেড। সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক মোহাম্মদ আব্দুল মান্নান স্বাক্ষরিত শোকবার্তায় বলা হয়েছে, ‘প্রথম আলো ও ডেইলি স্টার পত্রিকার কর্ণধার লতিফুর রহমানের মৃত্যুতে আমরা শোকাহত।’ তিনি মৃত্যুর আগের দিনও ঢাকা সংবাদপত্র হকার্স বহুমুখী সমবায় সমিতি লিমিটেডকে কমিশন বাবদ অতিরিক্ত ৫ শতাংশ দিয়ে গেছেন, এতে আমরা কৃতজ্ঞ। তাঁর অসমাপ্ত কাজগুলো এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য সমিতির পক্ষ থেকে প্রথম আলো সম্পাদক মতিউর রহমানের প্রতি আবেদন জানানো হয়েছে। বিবৃতিতে আরও বলা হয়েছে, ‘লতিফুর রহমান অত্যন্ত ভালো মানুষ ছিলেন। তাঁর মৃত্যুতে আমরা একজন অভিভাবক হারালাম।’ সমিতির পক্ষ থেকে মরহুমের আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা এবং পরিবারের সদস্যদের প্রতি সমবেদনা জানানো হয়েছে।
লতিফুর রহমানের মৃত্যুতে শোক প্রকাশ করে বিবৃতি দিয়েছেন বাংলাদেশ জামায়াতে ইসলামীর নায়েবে আমীর সৈয়দ আবদুল্লাহ মো. তাহের। তিনি বলেন, লতিফুর রহমান ব্যক্তিগত জীবনে সৎ, নিষ্ঠাবান ও জনদরদি লোক ছিলেন। তিনি দরিদ্র ও অসহায় মানুষকে সাধ্যানুযায়ী সাহায্য-সহযোগিতা করতেন। বাংলাদেশে ব্যবসা-বাণিজ্যের অগ্রগতিতে তাঁর অনেক অবদান রয়েছে।
